Exploring Nature’s Wonders: Year 5’s Excursion to Michiru Mountain

The Year 5 students at Nyasa Academy embarked on a memorable journey to Michiru Mountain, where they were greeted by breathtaking scenery and a valuable lesson in environmental conservation. Led by passionate park rangers, the students had the opportunity to delve into the heart of nature’s beauty while also witnessing the impact of deforestation firsthand.

Throughout the day, the students engaged in educational activities designed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our natural resources. They listened intently as the park rangers shared insightful knowledge about the local ecosystem and the devastating effects of deforestation on Michiru Mountain.

One of the highlights of the excursion was the hands-on experience of tree planting. Guided by the park rangers, the Year 5 students eagerly rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, planting trees in areas affected by deforestation. It was a rewarding experience for the students, knowing that their small actions would contribute to the restoration of the mountain’s ecosystem and help mitigate the effects of deforestation.
